The Essential Pursuit of … Is Less More?

The Essential Pursuit of … is Less More?

After spending 50 hours at an Unleash the Power within seminar totally immersed in changing one’s state, oblivious to the chaos going on outside the door and around the world, I began to wonder. Where are we? Are we forever chasing the undisciplined pursuit of More? It is the culture of our times, to turn on the news, use social media, and so on. We may not be able to control the events that happen in the world, but we do get to decide how we respond to it.
If we focus on what we want and set priorities and do the right things rather than trying to do everything that comes across our phone or desk. End multitasking for life. Why does it feel that the more we clutter our lives with stuff, the less we feel? If we don’t prioritize our life, someone else will. In a pursuit of a life that matters, make a list, evaluate, and make space for what matters most Now.

How can we do this?

Focus on the right things, say no to trivial, do not allow unimportant things or people to push their priorities on you. Make sure the right relationships get our attention. Discover your purpose and passion. Get rid of too much noise, clutter. Be focused on setting a priority and doing the right thing, rather than trying to do everything that comes to you. Spend time with a peer group that fills you up, makes you grow and be a better person. Guard the entry to your mind.  Read something uplifting every day.  Readers are leaders.  Feed your mind with stories of people who made a difference in the world.

Have Faith

Have faith and know that we cannot control our surroundings, only our thoughts and the meaning we give it. Instead of focusing on the worst-case scenarios, spend time being grateful. It is impossible to be grateful and fearful and negative at the same time.

Love all, trust a few, do wrong to none.
